Accounting Intern

**Job Summary** We are seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented Accounting Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to build a solid foundation in accounting practices and expand their expertise across multiple financial disciplines. **Duties** * Assist with general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar systems * Support accounts payable and accounts receivable management to ensure timely processing and accuracy of transactions * Contribute to financial report writing, interpretation, and preparation aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards * Help with balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation activities to maintain accurate financial records * Participate in regulatory reporting processes, including SEC reporting and compliance with SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) requirements * Perform data entry and maintain confidential financial information with integrity and security * Support auditing activities by preparing documentation and assisting with internal control procedures **Qualifications** * Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting, Finance, or related field with relevant coursework in accounting systems, financial concepts, or auditing * Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and financial modeling * Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms is preferred * Knowledge of accounting standards including GAAP and familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as SOX or SEC regulations is a plus * Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to handle confidential information responsibly * Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn from mentors within the organization * Prior experience or coursework related to governmental accounting, non\-profit accounting, or corporate finance is advantageous Join us as an Accounting Intern and gain invaluable experience working alongside seasoned professionals while developing your technical accounting skills.
