Adjoint Professor, ASCENT Consortium - 40262  Faculty  Description   University of Colorado Anschutz Department: Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine Job Title: Adjoint Professor, ASCENT Consortium Position #00801190 – Requisition #40262 Job Summary: This part-time Adjoint Professor position will serve as a Core Member of the ASCENT Engagement Core, with additional SWOG duties. The Advancing the Science of Palliative Care Research across the Lifespan (ASCENT)Consortium is a national research initiative focused on providing resources, expertise, and coordination across institutions to advance innovative, high-quality research for those living with serious illness and those who care for them. Key Responsibilities: Attend all regular Engagement Core meetings and review materials in preparation for these meetings. Work with other ASCENT Core leaders and members to ensure integration of health equity expertise in all Consortium activities and programs with a focus on the RDMC and PBD cores providing guidance on inclusive research methodologies and culturally competent approaches to research and advise on creating repositories and documentation for race/ethnicity, social drivers of health, and other equity related variables across different data sources. Provide consultation and mentorship for ASCENT investigators and others on research methods to conduct health disparities and community engaged research and strategies to promote equity and inclusiveness in research design. Participate in development and delivery of curricula and training specific to health disparities and community engaged research at ASCENT conferences, workshops, and annual meetings. Work with other Engagement Core members to foster the engagement, mentorship, career development and collaboration of a community of health equity researchers, particularly to ensure relevance across the lifespan. Contribute to development of resources for the ASCENT digital library and other products for broad dissemination (systematic reviews, etc.) that support and inform the rigorous conduct of health disparities and community-engagement research ensuring lifespan relevance. Assist LEAP lead, with engagement of LEAP members, including planning LEAP meetings, working with other cores on LEAP engagement, disseminating perspectives of LEAP members to inform ASCENT activities and priorities. Serve as Co-Chair of SWOG’s Palliative and End of Life Care Committee. Work Location: Remote – this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
