The School of Education & Human Development (SHED) at the University of Colorado Denver is a statewide and national leader for educational quality, access and equity across the education lifespan, from birth through higher education. What You Will Do:
A University Liaison serves in a supervisory capacity for teacher candidates who are completing early field experiences (undergraduates) and a year-long series of clinical internships (undergraduates and graduates) as part of their initial teacher preparation. The university liaison works collaboratively with school-based leaders and practicing mentor teachers to support the development of teacher candidates. University liaisons who serve in a PDS also teach a site-based collaborative learning community seminar with the cohort of teacher candidates at the school, and collaborates closely with school leadership to support the development of the university partnership at the school including inquiry and renewal of effective teaching practice. University Liaisons may also provide virtual supervision to students in our state-wide, job-embedded pathways like P-TAP and T-PREP, connecting with and supporting candidates via Zoom,
