The finance analyst is responsible for preparation and filing of various tax returns. The candidate will process and reconcile tax related transactions with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The candidate will provide support.Prepare Quarterly and annual Municipal tax returnsPrepare weekly FICA deposit report & check requestPrepare Quarterly FICA returnsPrepare semi-weekly FET depositsPrepare and file Quarterly FET returnsProcess wire transfer requests for tax paymentsKentucky Municipal Tax - PosiTax reconciliationsProcess journal entriesElectronic filings of premium tax and assessmentsCopying, Scanning & Filing of premium tax returnsProcessing check request to CoreIntegratorProcess state income tax paymentsMailing and filing of state income tax returnsPrepare supporting documents for premium tax returnsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)Working knowledge of Great Plains General LedgerStrong verbal and written communication skillsBS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related disciplineTechnical skills required:MS Office, MS Excel, Financial Systems, Accounting ExperienceEducation:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
