**Job Description**
**Summary**
The **VDC Manager** is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of Virtual Design \& Construction (VDC) services across assigned projects, supporting Evans General Contractors’ core markets including **Advanced Technologies, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and Food \& Beverage**. This role serves as the **project\-facing VDC leader**, owning model\-based workflows from **preconstruction through project closeout**, and ensuring VDC is fully integrated into project planning, coordination, field execution, and turnover. The VDC Manager partners closely with Project Management, Superintendents, Designers, and Trade Partners to drive coordination, mitigate risk, improve constructability, and deliver high\-quality, model\-driven outcomes. The VDC Manager also contributes to the **growth and maturity of the VDC department**, supporting standardization, mentoring junior staff, and helping advance Evans’ VDC strategy across the organization. **This is a traveling position based out of Dallas, TX.**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Project \& Lifecycle Leadership**
* Lead VDC efforts for assigned projects from **preconstruction through construction and closeout**
* Support early project pursuits and preconstruction efforts through: Model\-based site logistics, Phasing and sequencing studies, and Visualization/constructability analysis
* Develop and manage **project\-specific VDC execution roadmaps** aligned with overall project milestones
**BIM Execution Planning \& Governance**
* Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of **project\-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)**
* Define and manage: Coordination strategies, Model ownership and responsibilities, Level of Development (LOD) requirements, Model exchange and deliverable milestones
* Ensure all project participants adhere to BIM and VDC requirements established in the BEP
**Model Coordination \& Federation**
* Lead and manage **multi\-discipline model coordination** for complex architectural, structural, and MEP systems
* Oversee federated model workflows, clash detection processes, and issue resolution tracking
* Facilitate and lead regular coordination meetings with Designers and Trade Partners
* Establish and manage coordination priorities, zones, and sequencing logic
* Lead model sign\-off and “model freeze” milestones in preparation for shop drawings and construction
**Model Quality \& Technical Oversight**
* Perform and oversee **model QA/QC** to ensure compliance with: Contract documents, Client requirements, Evans’ internal VDC standards
