AI Security Specialist

This is a remote position.AI Security SpecialistOverviewWe are seeking an AI Security Specialist to design, implement, and monitor security controls for AI-driven applications, data platforms, and cloud environments. This role will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems operating across AWS, Azure, Tableau, Power BI, and DealCloud CRM integrations, with a specific focus on risks unique to AI/ML systems and data pipelines.This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in cloud security and data protection, with growing expertise in securing AI-driven solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement security controls across cloud environments (AWS, Azure) supporting AI and data platformsIdentify and mitigate risks related to AI/ML systems, including: Data poisoningModel leakageUnauthorized access to models or datasetsEnsure secure data handling and governance across ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics platformsImplement and monitor identity and access management (IAM) policies across systemsConduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analysesSupport secure integration of systems including BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and CRM platforms (DealCloud)Collaborate with engineering, data, and DevOps teams to embed security best practices into system designMonitor systems for security threats, anomalies, and incidentsSupport incident response and remediation efforts related to security eventsEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirementsDevelop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation RequirementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, or Information Security rolesStrong experience securing AWS and/or Azure environmentsKnowledge of security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)Experience with identity and access management (IAM) and role-based access controlsExperience with data security, encryption, and secure data pipelinesFamiliarity with network security, application security, and vulnerability managementExperience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, cloud security tools)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsKey Traits for SuccessStrong security mindset with attention to detailAbility to anticipate and mitigate emerging risks in AI environmentsCollaborative approach working with engineering and data teamsProactive and adaptable in a rapidly evolving technology landscapeStrong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences Originally posted on Himalayas
