Core-VA Solutions is hiring experienced HR professionals to support growing service providers across the United States.We currently have three open HR Specialist roles, each supporting a different US-based client. Review the openings below and apply for the one that best fits your background and experience.All roles are fully remote, full-time, and require availability during US business hours (CST).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES — ALL ROLESHR & Recruitment SupportAssist in recruiting caregivers, general employees, or role-specific candidatesScreen resumes and coordinate interview schedulesCommunicate with applicants and staff regarding hiring and onboardingPrepare, track, and maintain onboarding requirements and employment documentsCoordinate background checks and follow up on pending requirementsMaintain accurate employee records and personnel filesPayroll & Administrative SupportCollect and verify timesheets and attendance recordsAssist with payroll preparation and data entryMaintain payroll and compensation recordsOperations, Compliance & DocumentationAssist in creating and updating SOPs, checklists, and workflowsMaintain organized digital filing and document control systemsSupport preparation and organization of documents for internal or external auditsTrack compliance-related documents and ensure records are complete and up to dateUpdate trackers and internal records as neededSupport daily HR and operations-related tasksOPEN ROLES — PLEASE SELECT ONE WHEN APPLYINGRole 1 — HR Recruiter & Payroll SpecialistIdeal for someone equally comfortable sourcing talent and processing payroll — and who brings structure through documentation and automation.Additional responsibilities:Manage end-to-end recruiting: postings, screening, interviews, offers, and onboardingProcess US payroll on a bi-weekly or semi-monthly schedule; audit for accuracyBuild and maintain SOPs for recruiting and payroll workflowsIdentify manual tasks and implement automations using Asana to reduce processing timeCoordinate with managers on headcount needs and position approvalsAdditional requirements:Experience with an applicant tracking system (Workable, Greenhouse, or similar)Prior payroll processing experience using Gusto, ADP, or RipplingFamiliarity with employee lifecycle documentation and onboarding workflowsRole 2 — HR Compliance & Finance SpecialistThis role sits at the intersection of HR and finance. You will ensure people operations stay compliant with US regulations, maintain clean financial records, and build the documented processes that drive consistency.Additional responsibilities:Monitor and implement HR compliance requirements (federal and state labor laws)Conduct periodic HR audits and prepare compliance documentationDevelop and update SOPs for HR, payroll, and finance proceduresProcess payroll and reconcile entries against finance records each cycleMaintain organized financial documentation: invoices, ledgers, and expense recordsFlag compliance risks to leadership and recommend corrective actionsAdditional requirements:Solid understanding of US employment law, wage regulations, and HR compliance frameworksFinance experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting softwareDetail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping habitsRole 3 — HR Operations & Automation SpecialistWe are looking for a systems-minded HR professional who builds efficient workflows. You will audit existing processes, automate manual steps, keep payroll running smoothly, and document everything for scale.Additional responsibilities:Map and audit current HR workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunitiesBuild and deploy automations using Asana or native HRIS integrationsProcess US payroll accurately and on schedule each periodWrite SOPs for every streamlined process — clear enough for any team member to followEnsure all automated workflows remain compliant with US labor regulationsReport on improvements: time saved, error reduction, and adoption ratesAdditional requirements:Hands-on experience with automation workflows using Asana or similar platformsBackground in HRIS configuration or HR systems administrationStrong analytical mindset with a proven track record of process improvementRequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (not required)Experience & Skills:At least 2–4 years of experience in an HR virtual assistant or remote HR roleHands-on US payroll processing experience (Gusto, ADP, Rippling, or similar)Solid understanding of US labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practicesExperience building or maintaining SOPs and process documentationComfortable working with HRIS platforms and HR tech tools independentlyStrong attention to detail — especially when handling payroll, records, and compliance documentsProfessional handling of confidential employee and financial informationTools:Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365Experience with Asana
