Role SummaryThe Chief Product Officer (CPO) leads the end-to-end product strategy, design, and lifecycle management of the organization's insurance portfolio. This role drives innovation, profitability, and customer-centric product development across life, health, and/or property & casualty lines, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.Key Responsibilities1. Product Strategy & VisionDefine and execute the enterprise-wide insurance product strategyIdentify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive positioningDrive innovation across traditional and digital insurance offerings2. Product Development & Lifecycle ManagementOversee design, development, launch, and optimization of insurance productsEnsure strong collaboration with underwriting, actuarial, distribution, and technology teamsManage the full product lifecycle (concept launch growth retirement)3. Pricing & ProfitabilityPartner with actuarial teams on pricing models and assumptionsEnsure product profitability, loss ratio targets, and portfolio performanceOptimize product mix and segmentation strategies4. Regulatory & ComplianceEnsure all products comply with regulatory requirements and approvalsAlign with frameworks such as IFRS 17 and local insurance regulationsWork closely with legal, compliance, and regulatory bodies5. Customer & Market InsightsLeverage data analytics to understand customer behavior and preferencesDrive customer-centric product design and digital experience enhancementsMonitor market trends and competitor offerings6. Distribution & Go-to-MarketCollaborate with sales and distribution channels (agency, bancassurance, digital)Define go-to-market strategies and product positioningSupport channel enablement and product training7.
