About the Role We are seeking professional, compassionate Medical Interpreters to join our healthcare team. You will bridge communication between patients with limited English proficiency and medical staff, ensuring accurate, culturally sensitive interpretation during appointments, procedures, and consultations. Job Title: Medical Interpreter – Bilingual / English \+ Other Languages Location: Remote Job Type: Part\-time Number of Hires: 30 Hiring Time Frame: 1\-3 days Pay: $40 – $45/hour This role is critical to patient safety and quality of care. If you’re fluent in English and one or more additional languages, have a strong understanding of medical terminology, and want to make a direct impact in healthcare, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities \- Provide accurate, real\-time interpretation between patients and healthcare providers by phone or video \- Interpret medical terminology, instructions, diagnoses, and treatment plans clearly and confidentially \- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and patient privacy standards \- Convey cultural nuances and assist providers in understanding patient perspectives \- Document interpretation services as required \- Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow Requirements \- Fluency in English and one or more additional languages – speaking, reading, and writing \- Prior experience as a medical, healthcare, or community interpreter preferred \- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures \- Certification from CCHI, NBCMI, or state interpreter program is a plus \- Strong communication, professionalism, and empathy \- Ability to work in fast\-paced remote environments \- Must pass background check and HIPAA training Preferred Qualifications \- Associate’s degree or higher in translation, healthcare, or related field \- Experience in hospitals, clinics, or telehealth settings \- Familiarity with electronic health record systems What We Offer \- Competitive pay: $40 – $45/hour based on experience and certification \- Flexible part\-time remote scheduling \- Paid training on medical terminology and healthcare protocols \- Supportive team environment focused on patient care To Apply Email your resume and note your language proficiency \+ any interpreter certifications to: firstfidelityinc@outlook.com Subject line: Medical Interpreter Application – (English / Bilingual) Qualified candidates will be contacted for a language assessment and interview.
