This is a highly visible role that sits above platform-specific architects and serves as the primary voice for Salesforce's impact across the enterprise — focusing on how the platform integrates with and influences core systems such as HCM, ERP, and CSM. The ideal candidate brings architectural breadth, strong governance experience, and the ability to drive consensus across complex, matrixed organizations. This is not a configuration or hands-on admin role — value comes from strategic leadership, integration design, and enterprise-level governance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDefine and standardize integration patterns between Salesforce and enterprise systems including Oracle ERP/HCM and ServiceNow using event-driven architectureServe as the Salesforce representative on the Enterprise Architecture Board with a voting seatDrive consensus and resolve conflicts across engineering, security, product, and vendor teams without direct authorityOwn and maintain the operational playbook for platform requests, reviews, and development guardrailsLead design for global identity, user permissions, and zero-trust security frameworksOversee the platform's data strategy ensuring compliance with SOX, PCI, and HIPAAAlign Salesforce platform strategy with broader business goals and enterprise capabilitiesMentor architects, administrators, and developers on secure coding, automation, and design best practicesMANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of experience in information technology5+ years focused on Salesforce within large, multi-cloud enterprise environmentsProven experience with matrixed influence — aligning teams and resolving conflicts without direct reporting linesExperience presenting to or serving on an Enterprise Architecture BoardProficiency in documenting architectural decisions through Architectural Decision Records (ADRs)Strong knowledge of integration patterns including event-driven architecture, middleware, and APIsUnderstanding of data encryption, compliance laws, and financial regulatory standards (SOX)Willingness to travel 10–20% for planning sessions and leadership meetingsMust be US-basedNICE-TO-HAVE SKILLSExperience with technical debt cleanup, Salesforce instance consolidation, and DevOps pipeline modernizationFamiliarity with Core Sales/Service Clouds, Experience Cloud, CPQ, MuleSoft, and back-office ERP systemsSalesforce Application Architect or System Architect certificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldOriginally posted on Himalayas
