Job Title: Digital Ad BuyerJob Type: Full-Time | Remote / EST TimezoneIndustry: Beauty / Hair Care / CPGAbout the CompanyOur client is a 30+ year natural hair care brand with three active product lines sold through major retail partners, including national pharmacy and mass retail chains, as well as beauty supply stores. All three brands run active paid social campaigns, with Meta Ads as the primary channel, and are looking to expand into Google Ads/Merchant Center, TikTok, and YouTube Ads.Role SummaryThis is a hands-on digital advertising execution role. The Digital Ad Buyer will own day-to-day ad buying, campaign strategy, scheduling, and creative direction across Meta Ads and Google Ads for all three brands. This is not a strategy-only consulting role and not a generalist marketing assistant role. The founder will remain involved in approvals and brand direction, but should be able to step back from daily ad account management.Key ResponsibilitiesAd Buying and Campaign ManagementBuild, launch, and manage paid campaigns across Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) for all three brandsManage Google Ads campaigns and maintain Google Merchant Center product feed healthExecute campaigns across multiple objectives: awareness, traffic, conversions, and retargetingApply incremental budget scaling rather than aggressive jumps that destabilize deliveryEvaluate platform-suggested budget or targeting recommendations critically rather than applying them automaticallyStrategy and PlanningDevelop a monthly and quarterly paid media strategy aligned with retail and online calendar, product launches, and seasonal demandRecommend budget allocation across brands and campaign objectives based on performance dataBuild and maintain a retargeting strategy as warm audiences grow across brandsIdentify which creative formats and messaging approaches are driving performance and translate that into forward-looking strategyScheduling and Calendar ManagementMaintain a rolling paid media calendar across all brands showing what is live, what is scheduled, and what is in developmentCoordinate campaign timing with retail placements, email marketing (Klaviyo), and organic content calendarsSchedule campaign launches and pauses around key dates including product launches, retail resets, and seasonal peaksCreative DirectionProvide direction on ad creative based on performance data, not personal preferenceBrief photographers, videographers, or designers on what ad creative needs to accomplishIdentify creative fatigue and recommend refresh timing before performance dropsTest creative variations systematically and report on what is working and whyReporting and CommunicationProvide regular performance reporting in plain language, not just raw platform metricsFlag underperforming campaigns early with a recommended course of actionCommunicate in writing before making significant budget or strategy changesBe available for real-time check-ins when needed, particularly around campaign launchesWhat This Role Does NOT IncludeBookkeeping, accounting, or financial reportingGeneral virtual assistant tasks unrelated to paid mediaOrganic social media posting or content calendar managementWebsite development or Shopify managementEmail marketing execution in Klaviyo (coordination is expected, but not ownership)Required QualificationsMinimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience managing live Meta Ads accounts with real budgets (certifications or coursework alone do not qualify)Working experience managing Google Ads Shopping campaigns and resolving Google Merchant Center product feed issuesDirect experience with e-commerce brands, beauty, hair care, or CPG experience is a strong plusDemonstrated ability to translate ad performance data into specific creative directionAbility to produce clear, plain-language performance reports — not just exported dashboardsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting brands that sell through both mass retail and owned e-commerceFamiliarity with TikTok Ads and YouTube AdsSome experience with Photoshop or IllustratorExperience coordinating with Klaviyo email marketing workflowsThis Role Is a Strong Fit If You:Are a self-starter who can manage multiple brand accounts without daily hand-holdingThink critically about platform recommendations rather than blindly applying themAre data-driven in creative decisions, not preference-drivenCommunicate proactively and clearly, especially before making significant changesHave a genuine interest in or passion for beauty, hair care, or CPG brandsOriginally posted on Himalayas
