Denver, CO preferred Illinois, East or West Coast , remote consideredROLE OVERVIEWPivot Energy is seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our Project Management Department with a myriad of technical and administrative tasks supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects. The Assistant Project Manager will contribute to our projects' success by ensuring Pivot and our contracting partners deliver projects on time, on budget, and are appropriately administered. The position requires a familiarity for understanding of the general construction business, typical project controls, safety compliance, is a resourceful individual, and the ability to work under pressure and delivery work within deadlines. Ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver and possesses the ability manage change including company priorities and project scope, schedule, and other elements of the project lifecycle. Expectations are focused on managing financial funding requirements, issue logs, submittals, updates for budgets, schedules, sterile document management, and data rooms while maintaining a high level of communication with both internally and external stakeholders.This position offers a great opportunity to join a growing renewable energy IPP, a strong Project Management team, and growth potential at a cutting-edge company who is a developer, constructor, owner, and operator of renewable energy assets. Pivot is rapidly growing its EPCM team, and this position is crucial to the success of its growing pipeline of projectsPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESHelp progress projects through development workflow under direction of Project Operations Manager, PM TeamSupport the organization and review of contracts in internal document libraryInterface with vendors and subcontractorsSupport Project Managers with monitoring subcontractor construction progress on a regular basis, reinforcing safety and quality with subcontractors and addressing any issues that arise during constructionInitiate close-out procedures and prepare close-out documentsWork alongside the Finance Team to prepare EPC specific documents and checklist itemsAttend and provide support on most contractor and utility scheduled meetingsMaintain internal and external data roomsSupport PM team in management of ProcoreMonitor and track schedule changes and flag issues on scheduled milestonesSupport in review and creation of team processesTravel to sites as necessaryREQUIRED COMPETENCIES2+ years related solar ground mount or construction management experience2+ years total professional experienceProven working experience in project management; knowledge in construction means and methodsUnderstanding of basic site diligence documents to ensure the EPC scope accurately captures the site constraints, including: Geotech, ESAs, permits, interconnect agreements & land-use agreementsStrong communication skills – both written and verbalWorking knowledge of scheduling concepts such as CPM, Gantt charts, etc.Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling softwarePREFERRED COMPETENCIESExperience working for a large design build general contractorsExperience specifically with an renewable energy IPP who executes their own construction projects.Basic knowledge of Procore or basic project management information systems that track project controls, financials, deliverables and schedulesBasic knowledge of construction lending and project financingOSHA 30 is a preferredCAPM PMPa and DBIA educationRecruitment Agency Notice: We appreciate your interest in partnering with us; however, we are not seeking recruitment agency support for this role.ABOUT PIVOTPivot Energy is a national renewable energy provider that develops, finances, builds, owns, and manages solar and energy storage projects that help decarbonize our nation’s electricity, increase equitable access to clean energy for local communities, and provide real cost-savings to American businesses andfamilies.We are fiercely dedicated to accelerating the rapid transition taking place in the energy industry to a more decentralized and cleaner approach to power generation.
