Bookkeeper (Remote) **Job Type:** Full\-Time **Location:** Remote \- United States Only **Salary:** $55,000 \- $72,000 per year **Industry:** Accounting / CPA Firm About Us We are a 13\-person CPA firm serving a diverse client base across tax, accounting, and advisory. Our bookkeeping practice ranges from full accrual engagements to modified cash\-basis books. We work collaboratively and take pride in delivering financial records our clients can actually rely on. The Role We need an experienced Bookkeeper who understands accounting \- not just data entry. You will manage books for multiple clients, own the month\-end close process, and produce financial statements that are accurate and CPA\-ready. You should be comfortable explaining the relationship between the balance sheet and income statement and working across both accrual and modified cash\-basis engagements. What You'll Do * Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for multiple client entities * Perform month\-end close: account reconciliations, journal entries, trial balance review * Process AP/AR, manage aging schedules, and apply payments * Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly * Record payroll entries and reconcile payroll liabilities * Prepare supporting schedules for sales tax, 1099s, and other compliance items * Deliver clean monthly financial statements (balance sheet, P\&L, cash flow) ready for CPA review * Communicate proactively with clients and internal CPAs on open items and discrepancies What We're Looking For * 3\-5\+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a public accounting or multi\-client setting * Solid understanding of GAAP and the interplay between the balance sheet and income statement * Experience with both full accrual and modified cash\-basis accounting * Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop * Ability to juggle multiple client deadlines without dropping the ball Clear, professional communicator * \- comfortable working with clients and CPAs remotely * S.\-based and legally authorized to work in the United States (required) Nice to Have * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting * AIPB Certified Bookkeeper or NACPB License * Experience with fixed assets, depreciation entries, and deferred items What We Offer * $55,000 \- $72,000 annually, commensurate with experience 100% remote * \- work from anywhere in the U.S. * Full\-time, stable position with an established CPA firm * Collaborative team that respects your expertise * Exposure to a variety of industries and accounting challenges * Support for continuing education and professional development How to Apply Submit your resume and a short cover letter (2\-3 paragraphs) describing your bookkeeping background and how you approach month\-end close.
