Launched in 2008, KIND champions a world in which every child’s rights and well-being are protected throughout their journey to safety. Building on its extensive programming and successful model in the United States, KIND is expanding in the Americas and Europe to bring its experience to bear in working with unaccompanied and separated children. Our work focuses on addressing the legal and mental health needs of this population; building strong partnerships and engaging in training and capacity strengthening with governments, NGOs, and the private sector; and advocating for systemic and pragmatic reforms to advance the rights of unaccompanied and separated children.Position SummaryKIND seeks a Workplace Operations Manager, Systems and Assets to own the lifecycle of all workplace technological and physical assets that enable staff to work effectively. This role is responsible for the smooth administration of core platforms, technological tools, and asset management across the organization. The Workplace Operations Manager, Systems & Assets is responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, managing workplace systems, and provide operational and technical support needed for staff to work efficiently, particularly in areas related to software systems, and key HR workflows. The incumbent acts as a liaison between operations, IT, vendors, and internal teams to support the daily use of tools and processes that power the organization.This is a remote position based from any location in the U.S. This position is contingent upon continued funding.Essential FunctionsOwns the organization-wide strategy for workplace systems and equipment, including lifecycle planning, deployment standards, and replacement schedules.Maintains backend administration for workplace apps and platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Vonage, Adobe, ShareFile, Veonics, Iron Mountain, CDW, Amazon and more)Serves as directed manager to the Workplace Operations Coordinator – Asset Support, providing supervisions, training, workload prioritization and performance management while ensuring consistent execution of asset and systems support across the organization. Owns the lifecycle of all workplace assets, including laptops, phones, printers, and shared office equipment.Ensures accurate and reliable asset and access data by overseeing system integrity, audit readiness, and reporting.Owns vendor relationships related to workplace equipment and systems (phones, devices, printers, conferencing tools) including service quality and escalation pathways.Monitors risk related to lost devices, data access, and system misuse and implements controls to reduce exposure.Leads continuous improvement of workplace systems by evaluating tools, automations, and process improvements. Develops and maintains documentation and training for workplace systems and assets workflows, providing org-wide training to new and existing staff on equipment and platform usage.Supports major workplace initiatives (office openings, closings, or system rollouts) by designing equipment and access strategies.Oversees the distribution and retrieval of equipment during the onboarding and offboarding process related to device deployment and account setup.Ensures tracking, proper storage, deployment and retiring of assets according to policy.Creates SOPs and documentation for account creation, access standards, asset handling, and security. Provides functional oversight to Workplace Operations Coordinators on asset-related work such as equipment issues, replacements, and onboarding kits)Partners with HR, IT, and Operations to streamline task flows related to employee lifecycle events.Identifies opportunities to improve asset efficiency and reduce loss or downtime, and other duties as assigned.Qualifications and RequirementsUndergraduate degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Hands on experience with IT asset management (laptops, mobile devices, and accessories), including inventory tracking and lifecycle management. Demonstrated experience with basic system administration, account provisioning, and user permission management. Experience with asset management tools and inventory tracking systems is a plus. Experience coordinating across departments in a matrixed or multi-site environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent organizations and time management skills as well as astute attention to detail while prioritizing org wide projects and tasks.Proficiency in managing business software platforms like ZOOM and Adobe among other platforms, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Teams, Excel, etc.). Must be fluent in English. Spanish preferred but not required.Ability to travel (domestically)
