Remote Tax Professional

**Job Overview** Ivy's Legacy Agency is seeking experienced, highly motivated, detail\-oriented tax professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you must be able to work independently. You must be able to leverage your expertise in tax law, accounting, and financial software to assist clients with tax preparation, compliance, and planning. Your proactive approach and excellent client communication skills will ensure accurate and timely tax reporting while providing exceptional customer service. This is a remote, commission\-based independent contractor position that offers an individual who would like to take their active PTIN to the next career level. You will have the flexibility of working remotely while contributing to a fast\-paced environment dedicated to helping clients optimize their financial health. **Responsibilities** * Oversee day\-to\-day remote tax preparation operations * Prepare and/or review individual federal and state income tax returns * Monitor return accuracy, documentation, and completion * Maintain secure and confidential taxpayer information * Follow applicable IRS due diligence and electronic filing requirements * Communicate professionally with clients and tax preparers * Maintain organized client and tax preparation records * Assist with developing and maintaining client relationships * Participate in required operational and compliance training * Ensure applicable filing deadlines and internal procedures are followed * Qualified candidates should have: * An active EFIN or the ability to apply for and obtain IRS approval * A valid PTIN when personally preparing federal tax returns for compensation * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to work independently in a remote environment * Reliable computer and internet access * Ability to protect confidential taxpayer information * Strong attention to detail and professionalism * Tax preparation, tax office, or team leadership experience preferred **Skills** * Possess the skills to establish a network and build clientele. * Extensive experience in public accounting or accounting and finance roles with a focus on tax compliance and reporting. * Proficiency in tax return preparation software, QuickBooks, Wave and other financial software platforms. * Strong understanding of tax law, partnership tax expertise, corporate accounting, and technical accounting principles. * Excellent analysis skills combined with math proficiency for accurate calculations of complex financial data. * Superior client communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally. * Familiarity with bookkeeping practices, including 10\-key typing skills for efficient data entry.
