BMC is looking for an Assembler Developer to join our amazing Intelligent z Optimization \& Transformation team (IZOT)!
In this role, you’ll be responsible for end\-to\-end software development – designing, developing, and debugging complex Mainframe products using Assembler and z/OS.
You will handle complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in\-depth evaluation of various factors, and exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

**Responsibilities:**
Define functional specifications for program modules and accurately estimate development effort, ensuring high\-quality, maintainable solutions that align with product delivery schedules
Mentor earlier career staff.
Develop, test, and maintain product code in accordance with BMC quality standards, including unit testing, and support system and integration testing to ensure a high\-quality product.
Maintain knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies and provide complete documentation in the form of commented code, problem status information, and design documents.
Perform thorough problem analysis that results in resolution of product\-related problems according to BMC support standards.
Collaborate with cross\-functional teams – conduct and participate in team code (and other artifact) reviews, collaborate with QA teams to deliver quality products, support teams in customer specific escalations, provide input on product documentation to Technical Writers, etc.
