Software QA Tester (Manual/Automation)

**Location:** 100% Remote **Position Overview** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and highly motivated **Software QA Tester** with experience in both **manual and automation testing**. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through comprehensive testing strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands\-on automation experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross\-functional teams in a fully remote environment. **Key Responsibilities** **Manual Testing:*** Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test cases and test plans. * Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing. * Identify, document, and track defects using test management and defect tracking tools. * Validate bug fixes and ensures resolution before production release. * Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability and risk. **Automation Testing:*** Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts. * Build and enhance automation frameworks. * Execute automated test suites and analyze results. * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. * Continuously improving automation coverage and efficiency. **General QA Responsibilities:*** Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. * Conduct API testing and database validation when required. * Support performance, load, and security testing efforts. * Provide clear status reports on testing progress and quality metrics. * Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies. **Required Qualifications*** 3\+ years of experience in Software QA (manual and automation testing). * Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. * Hands\-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. * Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.). * Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.). * Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). * Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation. * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. **Preferred Qualifications*** Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python. * Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, etc.). * Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner). * Experience testing cloud\-based applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * QA certifications (ISTQB or equivalent). Timezone – Uruguay (UYT) Work hours from 9am\- 18hs Uruguay Time
