Our analytics team supporting HEDIS Stars measures and Population Health is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to advance Stars Population Health strategy and operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical curiosity who thrives on exploring complex data, uncovering actionable insights, and shaping strategies that deliver measurable healthcare outcomes. The Lead Data Scientist will support Humana's Stars Population Health strategy by developing advanced analytics solutions that enhance member engagement, address gaps in care, and improve Stars performance. This is a remote work opportunity; however, the role will align to Eastern Standard Time business hours.The Lead Data Scientist applies mathematics, statistics, predictive modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform large volumes of complex healthcare data into actionable analytic solutions. Responsibilities include the following:Develop, maintain, and collect structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.Create reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business objectives.Build member-level predictive models, developing segmentation strategies, and evaluating the impact of Stars Population Health initiatives on performance.Deep dive into membership data to understand, model, and segment members for outreach and initiatives as well as support the efforts to increase the number of members having an Annual Preventive Visit.Partner closely with Stars business leaders, Population Health stakeholders, and analytics teammates to connect Population Health strategies to broader Stars measures priorities.
