You’ll join a small, fast-moving team building high-impact products across accounting, tax, and banking. You’ll own features end-to-end and contribute across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and architecture.ResponsibilitiesBuild and scale Haven’s core platform across tax, accounting, and bankingTake ownership of the full software lifecycle — scoping, building, testing, deployingCollaborate with product and design to ship features that delight customersWrite scalable backend code and craft refined, performant frontendsContribute to infrastructure, observability, and system reliabilityHelp shape our technical roadmap and engineering best practicesTech StackCloud: GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL Postgres, Pub/Sub, Terraform)Languages: TypeScript, Python (typed), RustFrameworks: React, Next.js, Slonik, Axum, SQLx, DjangoRequirements3+ years of experience as a fullstack or backend engineerExperience with modern frameworks (React/Next.js, Django, etc.)Proficiency in at least one typed language (TypeScript, Rust, etc.)Strong product intuition and ability to work cross-functionallyExperience with system design and building scalable servicesExcellent communication skills; startup or fintech experience a plusCompensationSalary: $120,000 – $200,000 USDEquity: 0.25% – 2%Benefits: Full medical, flexible hours, remote-first cultureInterview ProcessTake-home coding project (1–2 hours)Live coding session focused on real-world problems (no leetcode)Final interview with a cofounderOriginally posted on Himalayas
