Job Requisition ID #26WD99348Position OverviewAutodesk is building the Forma Industry Cloud, a next-generation solution that is redefining how the built environment is designed, delivered, and operated. Forma represents a fundamental shift: from files to granular data, from silos to hyper collaboration, and from traditional BIM to outcome-driven workflows powered by AI. It brings together people, processes, and intelligence across the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) ecosystem to help the industry work smarter, faster, and more sustainably.We are seeking a Director, Forma Industry Strategy to drive the strategy for the Forma Industry Cloud and lead its go-to-market (GTM) direction. This role calls for a strong strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves. You will draw on both qualitative and quantitative data to capture insights and translate them into a clear point of view on where Forma should go and why. You will lead a talented strategy team that is still early in its journey, and act as a trusted partner to product, sales, marketing, customer success, and industry leadership.A core part of this role is being a strong evangelist for Forma, both inside Autodesk and externally with customers, partners, and the wider industry. You will work closely with the Forma design product team to keep strategy grounded in the product and how customers use it. You will also bring a broad skill set and proven experience managing senior stakeholders across many teams. Because the work spans regions, this role must be able to support both European and US time zones.ResponsibilitiesStrategy & AnalysisLead the strategy for the Forma Industry Cloud and its GTM direction, setting priorities and guiding where we invest and differentiateLeverage qualitative and quantitative data, along with AI and the tools available, to turn customer, market, competitive, and product signals into a clear point of viewGuide decisions on pricing, packaging, portfolio clarity, and adoption, so customers understand how Forma delivers value across planning, design, and deliveryBuild the frameworks, briefs, and recommendations that help leadership make confident decisionsEvangelism & AdvocacyBe a strong evangelist for Forma inside Autodesk, building awareness, clarity, and momentum across teamsRepresent Forma externally with customers, partners, and at industry events, building confidence in its directionCapture and share customer stories and outcomes to demonstrate the platform's value and inspire adoptionEngage directly with customers and partners to test our approach and bring their feedback back into the organizationCross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with the Forma design product team to shape the product roadmap, bringing market, competitive, and customer insight into the discussionWork with Autodesk's global strategy team to connect Forma's strategy to the company's broader Industry Cloud vision and portfolioAlign senior stakeholders across product, sales, marketing, customer success, and industry leadership on Forma's positioning, priorities, and executionEstablish a clear operating rhythm so strategy, messaging, and field execution stay connectedMinimum Qualifications10+ years across strategy, go-to-market, product, or management consulting, including significant time in or close to the AEC industryProven track record of leading teams and shaping strategy that delivers measurable business resultsDeep understanding of AEC workflows and the opportunities for digital transformation across the built environmentDemonstrated experience representing a product or company externally with customers, analysts, and at industry eventsStrong command of data and AI-enabled tools to generate insights and inform decisions, including cloud platforms and data-driven workflowsBachelor's degree in business, strategy, architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Things That Describe YouA strategic leader with exceptional business acumen and a proven track record of shaping and executing go-to-market strategiesStrong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, competitive landscapes and the opportunities for digital transformation in the AEC industryComfortable engaging with senior executives, customers, and partners as a trusted advisor and thought leaderExperienced with cloud platforms, data-driven workflows, or AI-enabled solutions in the AEC context and passionate about technology's role in advancing workflows for the built environmentProven experience leading teams and driving results in a matrixed environment through cross-functional collaboration with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Business teamsDemonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to executive and external audiencesLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
