Capita Pensions Solutions has been managing pensions for over 50 years, covering pension schemes of various shapes and sizes. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead projects from initiation to successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and strong leadership abilities to motivate and develop cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams. They will be adept at managing contractual terms, procurement, and delivery lifecycles, as well as identifying and mitigating project risks and issues. Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) and core applications (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential. Experience in the Financial Services Regulated market is beneficial but not essential. The successful candidate will be solution-focused, accountable, and able to build trust with diverse teams and technical experts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving successful business outcomes. Please note this role will require BPSS and SC Clearance.Job title:Project ManagerJob Description:Job DescriptionWhat will you be doing?Project Management - Day-to-day management and leadership of the project and the project team. Provide effective leadership and management controls. Design the project structure and organisation appropriate to stage. Set appropriate delivery methodologies. Manage effective transition between project phases, including cutover planning and transitioning projects to live operations to minimize transition risks. Identify, establish and mange as required the Project Controls such as risk or dependency management. Manage performance and report progress to sponsors. Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints. Deliver projects within contractual terms/settings, managing or working with commercial leads to complete the procurement, contracting, and delivery lifecycle.Governance - Support effective governance and decision making. Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked and owned. Ensure appropriate Benefits Realisation Strategy is in place and monitor longer term delivery of benefits against the business case. Ensure effective change management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders. Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.Financial Management –Track and and manage delivery within budget and financial controls. Develop project information such as business cases or approval documentation to enable the management of budgets and financial reporting.Resource Management - Identify or support the identification of skill requirements; manage their deployment. May manage a medium sized team. Motivate and engage cross-functional, geographically dispersed, and virtual project teams as required.Change and Requirements Management - Ensure effective change and requirements management processes are in place to agree, define and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.Leadership - Promote effective individual and team performance. Cascade vision and translate into delivery objectives for the team. Lead by example, motivate, manage and support the project team as required to ensure effective delivery.Stakeholder Management – Build strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation. Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed of project progress, risks and issues, and that their expectations are managed appropriately. Identify and manage stakeholder relationships and need for senior level support. Communicate complex ideas and information to both technical/non-technical audiences, supporting project governance, and achieving clear decisions.
