Job Description
**Direct Response Video Editor (AI \+ Performance Ads)** Triggerfish Leads \| Remote, worldwide \| Contract to hire \| 20\+ hours per week \| $1,500 to $3,000 per month
**Who we are** Triggerfish Leads runs lead generation ads for car accident law firms. Our ads run on Meta, YouTube and TikTok. Each one is judged on a single number: cost per qualified lead. We test all the time, so new hooks and new angles go out every week.
**The job in one line** Get someone who was just hurt in a crash to stop scrolling, keep watching, and take our quiz. Retention is how you get there. Qualified leads are the score.
**Why editors like working with us** Most editors hand off a file and never find out if the ad worked. Here you will. We share how your ads perform every week, including hook rate, hold rate and which versions won. Then you cut the next round based on what the data showed.
**What you will do**
* Edit 2 to 4 ad concepts per week, 30 to 90 seconds each
* Deliver 1 to 3 hook versions per concept, in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9
* Cut for retention: strong first 3 seconds, re\-hooks before people drop off, no dead air
* Build kinetic captions, text overlays, callouts and stat graphics
* Create motion graphics like animated logos, phone mockups, maps, timelines and disclaimers
* Generate AI footage and blend it with stock and b\-roll so it looks like one ad
* Handle sound design, voiceover sync, music and the final mix
We provide the scripts and creative briefs. Once you are hired, we cover all of your AI tool usage for our work.
**What you need**
* Experience editing performance ads. Direct response, not brand films. Usually this means 2\+ years, but your portfolio matters more than the number.
* A retention mindset. You know hook rate, hold rate and watch time. Show you a retention graph and you can point to where people left and tell us what you would cut.
* Hands\-on skill with current AI video, image and voice models. You use them every week, not once. You know which model to reach for, and you can keep a character, car or scene consistent from shot to shot.
* Strong After Effects or similar. Show us animation you built yourself, not a template.
* Fast turnaround. First cut in 24 to 48 hours. Revisions the same day.
* At least 20 hours per week for our work.
* At least 4 hours of overlap with 11am to 4pm Eastern (US).
* Clear written English. Comfortable working async in Slack and Asana.
* Comfortable with the subject. This is accident and injury content, including dramatizations and actor portrayal footage.
**Big plus**
* Higgsfield experience. If it is part of your real workflow, show us what you made.
* You pitch your own hook ideas when you see something in the data
* Past legal, insurance or medical ad work
* You know attorney advertising rules: disclaimers, no promised outcomes, actor portrayal labels, and AI content labels
* Testimonial and spokesperson editing
* Frame.io or similar review tools
**The details**
* Contract to hire. You star
