OpportunityThermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to take part in our Summer Internship Program. If you’re passionate about sustainability and eager to be part of a company that’s on a journey to transform the world’s infrastructure, this may be the internship for you!The Mechanical Engineering Intern is a vital member of Endeavour’s ThermalWorks team, working directly with the R&D Team to support with data acquisition, market research, and hand-on testing in our New York laboratory. The internship offers a valuable opportunity to work alongside our engineers, analyze test data, and contribute to research initiatives. The Mechanical Engineering Intern needs to be agile, professional, trustworthy with confidential information, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person can work equally as well independently as with a team. Thermal Works values efficiency and strives to maintain smooth operations. Our primary focus is on providing an integrated cooling system for data centers and commercial buildings that dramatically reduces the energy demand, water consumption and cost of cooling. Are you ready to join the journey?Key ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:Thermal Management Solutions: Understanding how high-density data centers manage heat loads through liquid and air-based cooling technologies.Product Development: Assisting in the design, testing, and evaluation of cutting-edge cooling technologies.Prototype Testing & Validation: Participating in hands-on testing of cooling components and collecting and analyzing performance data.Computational Analysis: Collaborating with engineering teams to review simulations and modeling techniques used in thermal performance assessments.Industry Research: Conducting market research on trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in data center cooling.Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Interacting with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers to gain a comprehensive understanding of integrated cooling solutions.Professional Development: Gaining insights into the data center industry, networking with industry experts, and developing technical and analytical skills.Education and ExperienceCurrently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.Specific Skills/AbilitiesBasic knowledge of mechanical principles, materials science, and thermodynamics.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual tasks.Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to tasks.Previous experience with hands-on mechanical projects or internships is a plus but not required.Great Place to WorkEnjoy… A fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture focused on innovation.
