Role SummaryWe’re looking for a Data Engineer to build and own our data infrastructure from the ground up.In this role, you will transform fragmented data sources into a centralized, scalable, and reliable data platform that powers reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the company.Your work will directly enable teams across marketing, finance, operations, and product to operate with accurate, trusted data; eliminating manual work, inconsistencies, and reporting gaps.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into analytics-ready datasetsDevelop clean, structured data models that standardize business metrics and reportingImplement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and monitoring systems to ensure reliabilityBuild and maintain integrations with APIs, databases, and third-party toolsDesign and manage the data warehouse architecture for scalability and performanceOptimize pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and data processing workflowsPartner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical data solutionsWhat Success Looks LikeA fully operational, scalable data warehouse with core business data centralizedReliable, automated pipelines with minimal failures and no manual dependenciesConsistent, standardized metrics across all dashboards and teamsHigh trust in data across the organization, enabling faster and better decisionsWho You Are:You think in systems and build for long-term scalability, not quick fixesYou take full ownership of data accuracy and reliabilityYou move fast but don’t compromise data integrityYou proactively identify issues and solve problems before they impact the businessYou collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience & Skills:3–6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or similar rolesStrong Python and advanced SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions, optimization)Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelinesSolid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelingExperience working with APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and modern data stacksNice to have:Experience in eCommerce or DTC environmentsFamiliarity with tools like BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or AirbyteExposure to marketing analytics (CAC, LTV, attribution models)Why Alpha Lion:Alpha Lion is a fast-growing, performance-driven brand focused on helping people unleash their Superhuman potential.
