We constantly innovate and break the rules of the highly complex travel industry to make travel more widely available for individuals, more rewarding for professionals, and simpler for everyone.As a Area Manager, Mediterranean at ETG, you will play a key role in strengthening and maximizing the performance of our hotel portfolio.Your main focus will be maintaining strong relationships with hotel partners, driving their performance, and identifying opportunities to unlock additional growth. The role combines commercial acumen with a solid understanding of hotel systems and effective project management.From optimizing existing collaborations to supporting partners with best practices, you will be central to ensuring both immediate results and long-term success!This is a vacancy open to candidates residing in Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Italy.Job ResponsibilitiesCommercial OwnershipOwn regional revenue targets across all Mediterranean marketsDrive both performance in mature markets and growth in developing onesBuild and execute a clear regional strategy adapted to different market maturitiesBalance revenue growth with margin and operational efficiencyIdentify and prioritize high-impact opportunities across the regionContracting PortfolioEnsure the right contract mix based on market maturity and demandStrengthen relationships with key hotels and regional partnersIdentify gaps in supply and lead targeted acquisition where neededContinuously optimize portfolio performance and remove inefficienciesMarket IntelligenceMaintain deep understanding of Mediterranean markets and key destinationsAdapt strategy based on local market dynamics and demand trendsMonitor competitors, pricing and distribution strategiesIdentify risks early and act before performance is impactedTeam Leadership & PerformanceLead multiple regional teams across different markets and levels of maturityBuild clarity, structure and trust Set clear KPIs and performance expectationsDrive accountability, pace and consistency across teamsManage and develop leaders within the regionTake decisive action on underperformanceRevenue ActivationDrive activation and growth in newer or underdeveloped areasSupport optimization of pricing, availability and competitivenessFocus on scaling top-performing partners while activating underperformersPurchasing GovernanceBalance revenue growth with cost control and operational efficiencyMaintain clear visibility and control over regional performanceAlign regional execution with overall Direct Supply directionRequirementsRelevant Experience. 5–7 years of successful experience in hotel contracting, travel distribution, or B2B travel sales.Leadership Experience. Proven experience managing a commercial team with full revenue accountability.Negotiation Skills. Strong negotiation capability with independent hotels and regional chains.Commercial Performance. Demonstrated track record of delivering consistent revenue growth against defined targets.Commercial Acumen. High level of commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into strategic actions.Stakeholder Management. Strong ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.Work Environment Adaptability. Experience operating in fast-paced, target-driven environments.Language Skills.
