The Department of Health Services (DHS) Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), Bureau of Health Services (BHS) is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Program Specialist – Senior to help ensure Wisconsin residents receive top quality care.
This position:
* Can work remotely up to 5 days per week but may be required to report to an office location on occasion to complete certain tasks. This schedule may vary based on training or operational need.
* Can be headquartered at one of our central or regional offices.
* Requires up to 10% travel, including possible overnight stays.

**Position Summary**
--------------------
As a Quality Assurance Program Specialist – Senior (QAPS), you will be responsible for performance monitoring, independently providing consultation, interpreting regulations, and developing policies/guidelines to improve care delivery, reviewing statement of deficiencies, creating, revising and updating processes and guidelines. You also may assist with and support the Bureau’s survey activities with an emphasis on acute and continuing care providers; such as hospitals, hospices, home health agencies, personal care agencies, adult day centers, ambulatory surgical centers and end stage renal disease centers.
Additional duties include:
* Providing training and support where needed in the area of acute and continuing care.
* Assisting with budgetary planning.
* Monitoring survey activity in collaboration with the other BHS QAPS\-Senior to ensure compliance with federal performance standards.
* Developing forms, policies, and procedures.
* Reviewing BHS program areas for needed changes and making recommendations.
* Assuring survey findings are accurate and consistent with federal certification, state administrative rules and survey procedures.
