We’re seeking an Accounting Associate to join us. This is a remote position. As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks in support of the Practice Management Department. What you’ll do:Oversee financial data for multiple companies, maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliationsManage workflow to ensure all accounting transactions are processed accurately and timelyPerform daily accounting department operations and data entry processingReconcile bank statementsAdminister proper general ledger coding of transactionsProcess payroll and reimbursement transactionsResearch and professionally communicate with appropriate audiencesMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesPrepare filings such as Federal Forms 1099/1096 and tangible property tax reportsReconcile payroll tax filings to general ledger activityIdentify and resolve discrepanciesRespond to routine client and management inquiries in a timely and professional mannerParticipate in professional development activitiesImport, sync and post bank transactions in QuickBooks dailySchedule and process Retirement Plan contributions Adhoc Projects as NeededBe flexible with changes in management style to meet the needs of this demanding clientWhat you’ll bring to Zotec:Proficient in excel including v-lookups, pivot tables and general formulasProficient in exporting reports from QB Desktop and creating workbooks utilizing above from excelExperience with entering and making payments in Bill.comAssociate’s degree in accounting5 or more years of accounting and financial administration experienceAdvanced hands-on utilization of QuickBooks Desktop, payroll applications, payable applications (Bill.com, etc.) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Proven ability to work independently and remotely while delivering a high-quality work productEstablished ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and excellent time management skillsAbility to work as a team player, build and foster professional relationships and to quickly adapt to changeFlexible to perform other duties and work on special projects as opportunities ariseAbility to organize, prioritize and multi-taskAbility to maintain confidentialityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAt Zotec, you will enjoy a network of highly experienced professionals in an environment where you can operate with autonomy yet have the resources and backing of other professionals in a similar role.
