The candidate develops innovative predictive models and analytical tools to improve profitability, growth, and operational efficiency. This position will help support predictive modeling needs across a growing portfolio of high-profile advanced analytics projects with the Strategic Analytics team. As a key member of the team you will also play a role in advancing predictive modeling capabilities, enabling Arch to make better decisions. Responsibilities:Collaborate with experienced modelers to build predictive models and analytic solutions using Python or R; apply techniques such as GLM, GAM and decision treesManipulate data using R or SQL Server; develop advanced ad hoc queries to investigate data anomalies and to summarize data for pattern detectionDevelop Python or R functions and SQL stored procedures to automate recurring tasksCreate and maintain documentation associated with modelsAssist in implementation and testing of modelsDevelop dashboards in Power BI to facilitate analyses that support modeling efforts or enable model usageMonitor the performance and usage of modelsAt least 3 years’ predictive modeling experience in a professional setting, using tools such as Python, R or SQLThe ideal candidate will have experience working in the insurance industryDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsExcellent critical thinking skills in order to tackle complex data challengesComfortable working in a fast paced and highly collaborative global teamAbility to effectively communicate technical topics to different target audiencesBS in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalentAGSI was incorporated in April 2016.
