Job Description
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Interpreter Recruiter to join our talent acquisition team. In this role, you will spearhead efforts to identify, attract, and onboard highly skilled interpreters across diverse languages and specialties. Your energetic approach will drive high\-volume recruitment campaigns, build strong relationships with language professionals, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our linguistic talent pool and support our mission of delivering exceptional interpretation services worldwide.
What You'll Do
* **Find great interpreters.** Source ASL and spoken\-language interpreters through job boards, LinkedIn, interpreter associations (like RID and ATA), schools with interpreting programs, and referrals.
* **Screen and interview.** Review resumes, run phone screens, and check that candidates have the right skills, certifications, and experience for each assignment.
* **Check credentials.** Verify certifications, licenses, and language skills, and coordinate background checks and any other contract requirements.
* **Onboard new hires.** Guide interpreters through paperwork, compliance steps, and training so they're ready to work fast.
* **Keep the pipeline full.** Build a bench of qualified interpreters by language, location, and specialty so we can fill requests quickly, now and as we grow.
* **Work closely with the team.** Partner with scheduling and operations to understand staffing needs and fill open assignments on time.
* **Stay in touch.** Keep good relationships with interpreters, including ones who aren't a fit today but could be later.
* **Track your work.** Keep candidate records up to date and report on hires, open needs, and time to fill.
What You Bring
* 1 to 3 years of recruiting experience, or experience coordinating or scheduling interpreters.
* A basic understanding of the interpreting world, including common certifications and how assignments work.
* Strong people skills. You can build trust quickly with candidates over the phone, on video, and by email.
* Good organization. You can juggle many candidates at once without letting anyone fall through the cracks.
* Comfort working remotely and managing your own time.
* Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), LinkedIn, and job boards.
* A real interest in language access and making services fair for everyone.
Nice to Have
* Experience recruiting at a language services company, video relay service (VRS), or interpreting agency.
* Knowledge of ASL interpreter credentials (like RID or NIC) or medical and court interpreter certifications.
* Experience hiring for education settings, such as colleges and universities.
* A network of interpreters you can reach out to.
* Knowledge of Florida's interpreter market.
* Fluency in ASL or a second spoken language.
