Finance Domain QA Lead

This is a remote position.Finance Domain QA LeadReporting to Manager, Quality Engineering & AI Validation, ensures Accordion's software and AI-enabled solutions are validated against real finance workflows, control expectations, and business decision contexts. Translates finance-domain knowledge into acceptance criteria, scenario design, risk tiers, and domain signoff standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDomain Acceptance DesignDefine finance-oriented validation criteria for workflows involving accounting, close, reporting, FP&A, transaction support, analytics, or CFO decision support. Translate finance process expectations into realistic scenarios, exception cases, and acceptance standards. Controls & Materiality ReviewPartner with QA and Engineering to identify where outputs could create business risk, control breakdowns, or materially misleading outcomes. Help determine which workflows require enhanced review, human signoff, or restricted deployment. SME Review LeadershipCoordinate fractional finance QA reviewers from practices for high-risk releases and scenario validation. Create a lightweight but repeatable process for domain-level review. Pod SupportAdvise pods on business correctness, not just technical functionality. Review evaluation results and help distinguish low-value issues from materially important issues. Continuous ImprovementIdentify patterns where technically passing outputs are still operationally weak, confusing, or risky. Feed finance-domain insights back into benchmark sets and release criteria. RequirementsRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in finance transformation, controllership, FP&A, transaction services, financial operations, or related domains. Strong understanding of finance processes, internal controls, and how CFO organizations consume analysis and recommendations. Experience working with technology teams, product teams, or transformation programs. Ability to turn business expectations into structured validation criteria. Strong judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills. ·CPA or similar background is a plus.·Bachelor's degree preferred.You AreCredible with both finance practitioners and technology teams. Strong at distinguishing theoretical correctness from real-world usability. Practical, risk-aware, and business-minded. Comfortable making quality calls in ambiguous scenarios.
