Job Description
**Overview**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail\-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee comprehensive bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various financial operations. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by managing complex accounting tasks, reconciling accounts, and preparing detailed financial reports. **Duties**
* Manage full\-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing using leading financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken.
* Perform general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
* Prepare and review journal entries, account analysis, and bank reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail.
* Conduct account reconciliation for various ledgers, including governmental and non\-profit accounting frameworks.
* Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
* Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Assist with tax preparation and ensure timely submission of tax documentation by maintaining accurate financial records.
**Experience**
* Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper with a strong background in accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar software.
* Extensive knowledge of double\-entry bookkeeping principles, debits \& credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
* Proven ability to handle complex account analysis including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliation processes.
* Familiarity with public accounting practices and governmental/non\-profit accounting standards is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of financial concepts including payroll processing, tax experience, budgeting, and technical accounting procedures.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform 10\-key typing efficiently while managing multiple tasks accurately.
* Prior experience working with financial report writing and account analysis in diverse organizational settings is preferred.
