Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to support and advise healthcare clients in design and implementation of secure, scalable solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS. This role requires expertise in healthcare regulatory compliance, cloud governance, and modernization initiatives, with the ability to lead architecture efforts that align technical solutions to clinical and operational objectives.Key Responsibilities:Technical Architecture AdvisoryDesign and deploy secure, scalable Azure and AWS solutions for healthcare applications and data workloadsTranslate healthcare business and technical requirements into cloud architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaSEnsure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, HITECH, and related healthcare regulationsDefine and implement cloud governance, identity, encryption, and security monitoring aligned to Zero Trust principlesArchitect secure integrations for EHRs, HIEs, and interoperability solutions using HL7 and FHIR standardsLead cloud migration, modernization, high availability, and disaster recovery designs aligned to RTO/RPO objectivesDevelop infrastructure‑as‑code using ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormationOptimize cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency using FinOps practicesProduce architecture documentation and mentor technical teams on cloud best practicesClient and Advisory LeadershipServe as a trusted advisor to healthcare client executives, leading cloud architecture decisions and aligning solutions to clinical, operational, and regulatory prioritiesLead and mentor team members, providing technical direction, quality oversight, and career development supportPartner with Directors and Partners to support proposal development, solution shaping, and client presentations for cloud and digital transformation effortsCore CompetenciesStrategic problem-solvingExcellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work independently and lead multiple architecture initiativesLeadership and team developmentAdaptability in fast-paced consulting environmentsWhat You Will Need:EducationBachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred)Experience5+ years of experience architecting Azure and/or AWS solutions in a healthcare environmentExperience designing secure, compliant cloud architectures for sensitive healthcare dataExperience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud environmentsExperience in a consulting, advisory, or client-facing role, ideally engaging directly with executive and senior-level stakeholdersTechnical SkillsProficiency in Azure services including VMs, Entra ID, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, AKS, Networking, Monitor, and Key VaultProficiency in AWS services including EC2, IAM, RDS, S3, EKS, VPC, Load Balancing, CloudWatch, KMS, and Route 53Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and interoperability standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, HL7, FHIR)Experience with automation and IaC tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or CloudFormationTravel RequirementsTravel up to 50% based on client and project needsWhat Would Be Nice To Have:Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certificationExperience supporting major EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health)Experience with healthcare compliance assessments or security auditsThe annual salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$225,000.00.
