This role sits at the intersection of creative intent and production reliability.As a Video Editor, you ensure that what gets generated at scale still meets the standard of a handcrafted master. You translate creative direction into repeatable outputs, enforce technical and visual quality across thousands of variations, and resolve the edge cases where automation meets reality.This is not just editing—it’s building trust in a system that produces content programmatically without degrading brand quality.What You Will Do1. Ship Production-Ready Masters and VariantsReplace VFX shots in final edits with precision, ensuring alignment with creative intent and technical specsProduce platform-ready outputs (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, etc.) from master files without quality lossCreate cut-downs and adaptations that preserve narrative and visual consistency across formatsDeliver assets that are immediately usable in automated pipelines and downstream distribution2. Own Quality Control SystemsPerform frame-level QC across video, audio, color, and VFX integrationIdentify and resolve issues in color grading, compression artifacts, audio balance, and render inconsistenciesValidate outputs against platform-specific delivery standards (broadcast, social, web)Build repeatable QC checks that scale with volume—not just one-off fixes3. Operate Within a Scaled Content PipelineManage ingestion, validation, and organization of master files from vendorsTranscode, compress, and prepare assets using correct codecs, formats, and color spacesGenerate proxy files (MP4s) for rapid internal review and iterationWork within structured pipelines where outputs feed directly into automated systems4. Collaborate Across Creative and Technical TeamsWork closely with project managers and VFX supervisors to align on delivery and quality expectationsTranslate creative feedback into precise editing and QC actionsFlag inconsistencies early and propose solutions that scale across variantsAct as the final quality gate before assets enter production systemsRequirementsWho You AreYou are a detail-obsessed editor who thinks in systems, not just timelines.
