Senior QA tester

Position SummaryRules Cube is a digital transformation company based in Toronto, Canada.We are looking for a talented QA tester with experience in different industries and platforms. This role will be responsible for testing of medium to large enterprise projects using multiple delivery channels across various platforms, configurations, and environments. A hands-on QA tester with manual testing experience. Responsibilities:Strong knowledge on testing conceptsExperience with manual and automated testingHands on experience of executing Database queriesSolid hands on experience working with SQL DBStrong experience reading and writing complex SQL statements and queries for back-end testingExcellent hands on working experience with ETL testingMust be good in validating Business logic and transformation rulesSolid experience writing test strategies for PO sign-offSolid experience managing HP QC/Test management tool and JiraSolid understanding and experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery methodologies.Review test documentation (functions, test cases, scripts);Manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting time and needs requirements; co-ordinate code delivery with external service providers Continually evaluate priorities for various projects in response to frequent directional changes and take decisive action as required.Work closely with the development group to resolve defects; escalate issues to management when necessary.Make recommendations to release the code to ProductionWork with individual project teams, during the software development life cycle, to ensure business and technical requirements have been fulfilled; contribute recommendations and assessments to ongoing project reviewsExposure to multiple testing methodologies and environments.Be a quality tester in defining quality metrics for different systems.Strong interpersonal skillsSuperior analytical skillsDetail-oriented approach to project testing Education:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline.Scrum / Agile certification *preferredISTQB certification *preferredOriginally posted on Himalayas
