Job Description SummaryServes as a senior technical instructor responsible for the delivery, development, and continuous improvement of licensed and non-licensed operations training programs for BWRX-300 technology. Applies the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) to support high-quality training materials, effective instruction, trainee qualification, and regulatory-aligned program execution. Provides technical expertise in classroom, simulator, and practical training environments and supports the continued development of initial and continuing training programs.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Contribute to the design and development of the Maintenance – Mechanical Initial Training Program for the BWR/ABWR/BWRX-300 technology, using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and following industry best practices.Contribute to the design and development of the Maintenance – Mechanical Continuing Training Program.Contribute to the quality oversite and maintenance of the Maintenance - Mechanical Training KSA Analysis/Catalogue(s), Job & Task Analysis, Task to Training Matrices, Curriculum and Evaluation Strategies, Training Program Delivery Schedules, Training Material and Evaluation Instruments.Contribute to the instructional quality oversight of the curriculum/materials for the Maintenance – Mechanical training programs for BWR, ABWR, BWRX300 and other similar technologies.Represent GEH training in internal, customer and regulatory venues.Work with other BWRX-300 Standard Plant Global Training Program (GTP) personnel to support the management and delivery of the training programs and provide strong leadership for assigned programs.Delivery Mechanical cross-training to other BWRX-300 Standard Plant GTP personnelLead/support training program reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of training, incorporate operational experience (OE) and establish priorities and drive plans for continuous improvement.Contribute to develop/support corrective actions to address identified areas for improvement.Work with other training and business units to support the Fleet Services enterprises.Perform special assignments and other related activities as assigned by the Training Manager/Leader.Qualifications/Requirements:Mechanical Instructor Certification/Qualification (BWR)Mechanical trade certification/qualification or USN Nuclear Mechanical Certification/Qualification (Machinist Mate) or Associate Degree Nuclear Maintenance Technician or College Mechanical Technologist/Technician or equivalent experience in the nuclear power industry.Minimum of 5 years training experience in the nuclear power industry, familiar with nuclear industry standards and training practices.Knowledgeable of, and able to implement, the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).Previous certification/qualification as a classroom instructor at an NPP.Previous certification/qualification as an On-The-Job/On-The-Job-Evaluator (OJT/OJE) or Task Performance Evaluator (TPE) at NPP.Knowledgeable of Nuclear Maintenance and related training including Corrective and Preventative Maintenance programs.Excellent written and oral technical communication skills including technical English composition, grammar, syntax, formatting, etc.Demonstrated ability to deliver training, effectively conveying technical concepts to maintenance personnel that facilitates learning.Demonstrated personal integrity with ability to handle proprietary, confidential, export controlled and complex technical information.Organized self-starter, with demonstrated ability to perform under pressure, set priorities, meet tight deadlines and with proven ability to gauge needs and proactively act without direct supervision.Team player with strong interpersonal skills, excellent planning, project leadership and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, set priorities and successfully managing multiple tasks simultaneously with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to operate computer systems, including demonstrated proficiency in the following software applications: MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.Willingness to travel to other GE sites, as necessary, to support training initiatives.Desired:Knowledge of NPP technologies; including BWR and PWR.Extensive Training Program development and implementation experience under both INPO and NRC Regulatory Frameworks.Experience with Initial and Continuing Training development, conduct, and evaluation.Experience with Computer Based Training (CBT) implementation including multi-media training content using current industry approaches.Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), Vision software, and training databases.The base pay range for this position is $93,500.00 - 155,900.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentiv
