Job Description

The Business Development Manager will drive new business growth within a specific market by thoroughly analyzing market and competition trends/conditions/behaviours to discover new business opportunities. They will develop and execute business strategies aligned with organizational objectives to foster new growth. This role also involves building and nurturing strong relationships with current and prospective clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions. Collaborating with product teams, they will ensure offerings align with market demands and provide feedback for product enhancement. Additionally, they will monitor and report on the performance of business development efforts, using data to fine-tune and validate strategies. They will also participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to elevate company visibility and uncover potential leadsMain Responsibilities & Tasks:Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trendsStrategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to meet organizational goals and drive growthClient Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing solutionsPartnership Development: Identify and establish partnerships with external organizations to enhance market presence and drive collaborative growthSales and Revenue Growth: Lead initiatives to increase sales and revenue through new client acquisition and existing client retentionVoice of Customers: Collaborate with product teams to ensure offerings meet market demands and contribute insights for product improvementsNegotiation and Contracts: Handle negotiations and finalize contracts with clients and partners, ensuring mutual benefitsPerformance Analysis: Monitor and report on the performance of business development activities, using data to refine strategiesNetworking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase company visibility and identify potential leadsTechnical Support: Provide technical and commercial support to Account Managers and customers in relevant products and processesQualifications & SkillsMinimum:Academic degree in life sciences or engineering, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferredMinimum 7 years field sales experience, with preferable laboratory / biopharmaceutical process-based experience in Life ScienceProven experience in business development, sales, or related field, with a track record of successful revenue growth.Result-oriented and highly motivatedShould demonstrate strong entrepreneurial capabilities that includes qualities such as business creativity and agility, business analysis, sales drive and resilience, have a vision for the business, risk-taking, decision-making and financial managementStrong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Ability to create, develop, expand and maintain strategic relationships with C-suite executives to drive partnerships and foster business growthAbility to manage complex issues using innovation and processes in order to provide a solution meeting the needs of both the customer and the CompanyRelevant technical knowledge and extensive industry knowledge (eg.
