Join us in building the future.The RoleAt Lumen, the Contract Acquisition Manager is responsible for quoting, executing, processing and delivering 3rd Party Fiber & Conduit Agreements related to the Company’s fiber-optic network across North America. They are responsible for managing numerous negotiations simultaneously as well as tracking and reporting on various metrics related to the delivery of these services. They must be familiar with executing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and service orders, as well as understand fiber testing, delivery and acceptance, per industry standards.LocationThis is a work from home position within the U.S.The Main ResponsibilitiesReceives, interprets and clarifies requests from various internal organizations regarding 3rd party fiber and/or conduit needsRequests quotes from vendors for the assets identifiedTracks, follows up, and escalates (as necessary) for the receipt of these quotesCommunicates vendor quote information via internal systemsUpon project approval, executes necessary service orders with the selected vendor for quoted assetsCoordinates with vendors and internal groups to confirm that assets delivered meet or exceed Lumen quality standardsReports on work step data for metric and performance tracking What We Look For in a CandidateRequiredUnderstanding of OSP construction and fiber splicingExperience in contract negotiation and managementProficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Solid multi-tasking skills with abilities to coordinate across multiple departments5+ years of relevant experienceBachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Finance or related field (combination of education and experience is acceptable)PreferredExperience in Outside Plant design, maintenance and/or construction or optical network design & deploymentAdditional experience in business management, financial management or legalCompensationThis information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
