Real Estate Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online, Remote)

We are a real estate investment company that buys, renovates, and sells multiple properties at the same time. This is a hands\-on bookkeeping role focused on accurately categorizing financial transactions and maintaining organized records across multiple projects. You will be responsible for reviewing bank and credit card transactions, assigning appropriate categories, and allocating expenses to the correct property or project. This includes materials, labor, utilities, permits, and other real estate\-related costs. This role involves working with multi\-property bookkeeping and project\-based expense tracking in a real\-world environment. This is a part\-time role, approximately 10 hours per week. Responsibilities: Categorize bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online Assign expenses to the correct property or project Identify vendors and classify expenses appropriately Reconcile bank and credit card statements Communicate clearly regarding any unclear transactions Maintain accurate and organized financial records Requirements: Experience using QuickBooks Online Experience categorizing financial transactions Familiarity with real estate or construction\-related expenses is a plus Understanding of job costing or project\-based accounting is helpful Strong attention to detail Clear communication skills Required Question: Please describe how you would approach categorizing a credit card statement for a house flip. Interview Process: Selected candidates will participate in a live interview and will be asked to review sample scenarios and explain how they would categorize and record transactions. Additional Information: This is a remote, contractor\-based role. Workload is approximately 8\-10 hours per week.
