Freelance Motion Designer / Animator

**8AM Creative** is looking for a talented freelance Motion Graphics Designer \& Animator to support a wide range of client projects. You can find some of our work samples here: https://www.instagram.com/8am\_creative/ We’re seeking someone who can create polished, professional animations across different formats and styles—from short\-form social media content and digital ads to brand videos, product explainers, presentations, and longer\-form animated content. This is a freelance contractor position with project\-based work and the potential for an ongoing relationship. **What You’ll Do** * Create high\-quality motion graphics and animations for digital marketing campaigns, social media, websites, presentations, and video content * Animate existing brand assets while maintaining established visual identities * Develop motion styles, illustration systems, and animation concepts for brands that don’t yet have a defined visual direction * Collaborate with creative directors, designers, strategists, and copywriters * Prepare assets for multiple formats and platforms * Manage projects efficiently and communicate timelines clearly **What We’re Looking For** * Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling * Ability to work across multiple visual styles and industries * Experience following brand guidelines and maintaining consistency * Ability to create and evolve illustration and animation styles when needed * Strong design fundamentals, including typography, composition, color, and pacing * Excellent attention to detail * Reliable communication and responsiveness **Preferred Skills** * Adobe After Effects * Adobe Illustrator * Adobe Photoshop * Motion design * 2D animation * Explainer videos * Social media animation * Kinetic typography * Storyboarding * Video editing (a plus) * Character animation (a plus) * Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D tools (a plus) **To Apply** Please send: * A link to your portfolio (**required**) * Your hourly rate or project pricing information * Availability We’re looking for someone who combines strong design instincts with excellent animation skills and can adapt their approach to fit a wide variety of brands and creative challenges.
