Are you ready to make a difference?Job Summary This role supports the company’s largest and most complex national and large‑market clients, serving as a dedicated billing consultant for accounts with 2,000 or more covered lives. Individuals on this team manage a defined block of business and act as the primary billing point of contact throughout the full policy lifecycle, from implementation through termination. The work is highly visible and collaborative, requiring close partnership with Sales, Finance, Implementation, and leadership. This is a fast‑paced, detail‑driven role that combines billing expertise, account management, analytics, and customer service. The position is especially busy during Q1 and Open Enrollment, when accuracy, responsiveness, and adaptability are critical.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of 20–25 large client accounts, providing end‑to‑end billing support across the life of each policyServe as the primary billing contact for assigned clients through direct communication (no shared inbox or call queue)Handle all billing functions, including invoicing, payment reconciliation, deductions, research, and discrepancy resolutionConduct ongoing and event‑driven audits, including Open Enrollment audits, to ensure billing accuracy and compliancePartner with internal teams and clients through meetings, reporting, and analytics to resolve issues and meet client expectationsSkills and Background You’ll Need Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience: At least 3 years of accounting or complex finance experience.5 years of customer service or account management experience.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and OneNote.Extensive understanding of the cross‑departmental implications of contract and billing issues.Strong customer-facing presentation skills and oral/written communication skills.Prior experience with voluntary benefits is preferred.Salesforce experience is preferred.Key Behaviors of a Successful Candidate Driving Success: Acts with urgency, pursues ambitious goals and shows resilience in the face of obstacles and setbacks.
