Tax Preparer

This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tax preparation, accounting software, and financial analysis within a supportive environment that values growth and professionalism. **Responsibilities** * Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for a diverse client base, including individuals, sole proprietors, and small businesses * Gather and analyze financial data using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant tools * Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and expense reports to ensure accuracy * Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide compliant advice and optimize tax outcomes * Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions * Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliation using various accounting software platforms * Support marketing efforts by promoting tax services to attract new clients and retain existing ones **Requirements** * Prior experience in tax preparation or public accounting is highly preferred however training is available for new hires with No experience * Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and technical accounting practices * Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms * Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data review * Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry * Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and professionally to clients * Basic math skills essential for calculations related to taxes and financial analysis * Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to client support Join our team as a Tax Preparer if you are passionate about helping clients navigate their finances with confidence!
