Role OverviewOur client, a leading financial services organization in Dubai, is seeking a Senior Support Engineer – Application Support to manage and support mission-critical banking applications. This role requires strong expertise in production support, incident management, and maintaining high availability of enterprise systems within a regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 production support for banking applications built on .NET Core and AngularMonitor and ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of critical systemsInvestigate and resolve production incidents, including application errors, performance bottlenecks, and integration failuresSupport microservices-based architecture, including troubleshooting Kafka message flows and distributed systemsPerform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrenceAnalyze logs, traces, and metrics using Azure Monitor and Application InsightsWork closely with development, architecture, and DevOps teams to deploy fixes and enhancementsEnsure adherence to banking security, compliance, and audit requirementsCommunicate effectively with business stakeholders during incidents and provide timely updatesParticipate in on-call support rotations, if requiredRequired Skills & Technical ExpertiseBackend & APIsStrong hands-on experience in .NET Core 6 and Entity FrameworkExperience in troubleshooting REST APIs and backend servicesFrontend AwarenessWorking knowledge of Angular 8+Database & Data HandlingExpertise in Azure MS SQL Managed InstanceStrong SQL skills for data analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuningArchitecture & SystemsExperience with microservices architecture, including CQRS and choreography patternsUnderstanding of distributed systems in a high-availability environmentMessaging & IntegrationHands-on experience with Kafka and Red Hat AMQMonitoring & LoggingProficiency in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application InsightsCaching & NoSQLExperience with Redis and Cosmos DBTesting & ToolsFamiliarity with NUnitExperience using Postman and cURL for API testingIdentity & Access ManagementExperience with Keycloak (IDAM)Preferred ExperiencePrior experience supporting core banking, payments, or financial systemsExposure to regulatory and compliance environments within banking or financial servicesExperience handling high-volume, transaction-based systemsSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills under pressureExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a 24/7 support environmentHigh level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detailOriginally posted on Himalayas
