Position SummaryThe Crop Insurance Specialist supports AgCentric’s policy administration function by reviewing, evaluating, and processing crop insurance applications in accordance with program guidelines and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of MPCI policies, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to ensure accurate and timely policy issuance. The Crop Insurance Specialist works closely with agents, insureds, and internal teams to uphold operational integrity and deliver high-quality service.What will your job entail?Job ResponsibilitiesReview crop insurance applications and policy documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and private program guidelinesApply provisions of the Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA) and supplemental guidance to daily policy administration dutiesMaintain organized and complete documentation trails for all underwriting actions and communicationsSupport internal control procedures by adhering to established underwriting protocols and flagging potential discrepanciesAssist in policy review and error tracking efforts in coordination with compliance and quality assurance teamsParticipate in training sessions to stay current on crop insurance regulations, underwriting procedures, and system updatesCommunicate effectively with agents, policyholders, and internal departments to resolve underwriting issues and ensure smooth policy administrationContribute to cross-functional collaboration with claims, compliance, and accounting teams to support coordinated insurance operationsOther underwriting duties and projects as assignedWork Experience and EducationBachelor’s degree preferred3+ years of experience participating in crop insurance underwriting and policy administration proceduresLicenses & CertificationsN/ATechnical/Functional SkillsKnowledge of crop insurance underwriting guidelines and proceduresPolicy management systemPolicy issuanceAcreage and production reporting knowledgeCrop insurance regulatory complianceData Analysis & Reporting Behavioral Skills:Effective communicationInterpersonal skillsAttention to detailDecision makingProblem-solvingContinuous learningRyan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
