Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications.
Quality Assurance develops and implements a compliant and cost effective quality system that assures products and services are reliable, safe and effective. This job family provides oversight of production/manufacturing activities, training to operational and quality control personnel, and educates business leaders on Quality policies and procedures and ensures that all products and services are properly reviewed for quality and documented.What Temperature Management Contributes to Cardinal HealthThe Temperature Management team ensures the safe handling of pharmaceutical and medical products by overseeing all temperature excursion events. This includes:Serving as the point of contact with pharmaceutical and medical manufacturers to obtain product stability information following a temperature excursion.Assessing stability data to determine product impact and ensure patient safety.Maintaining required continuing education to support Health Care Professional certification, which is necessary for engaging with manufacturers that release stability information only to certified professionals.Assisting facilities with completing temperature excursion documentation to ensure all necessary information is accurately captured.Job Summary
The Senior Specialist, Quality Assurance ensures the safe handling of pharmaceutical and medical products by overseeing temperature excursion events and evaluating product stability to protect patient safety. This position serves as the primary contact with manufacturers, supports facilities with excursion documentation, and maintains key stability and excursion data. The role also contributes to the Quality Management System by administering temperature monitoring platforms, assisting with temperature studies across multiple facilities, and supporting related projects.
