Job Description

Cal AI is looking for a highly strategic and execution-oriented Growth Marketing Specialist to support and execute on user acquisition, retention, and growth across paid, organic, influencer, affiliate, and partnership channels.You will run campaigns, analyze performance data, build testing frameworks, and identify opportunities to improve channel efficiency, all in close partnership with our leadership, creative, product, and analytics teams.This is a role for someone who thrives in hands-on execution, brings a data-driven mindset to their work, and is building toward broader strategic ownership.What you’ll be doing:Execute paid advertising campaigns across major digital platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat, and other emerging channelsProactively identify and recommend specific acquisition improvements and channel optimizations based on performance analysisContribute to retention and engagement initiatives through channel execution and lifecycle insightsIdentify growth experiments, conversion opportunities, and user acquisition improvements in partnership with product and analytics teamsAnalyze campaign performance, including CAC, ROAS, payback periods, creative performance, funnel conversion, and retention metricsCollaborate with creative, influencer, product, and analytics teams to turn insights into growth actionsBuild and maintain testing frameworks for paid ads, creative, landing pages, and offersSupport a high-velocity growth culture through structured experimentation, clear reporting, and disciplined executionHelp Cal AI maintain a high-velocity growth culture through rapid experimentation, clear reporting, and disciplined executionManage multiple projects simultaneously, making informed tradeoffs and escalating risks to your manager as neededQualifications to be successful in this role:2-4 years of experience in growth, paid acquisition, performance marketing, or consumer app marketingHands-on experience running paid advertising campaigns profitably for a consumer mobile app, subscription app, health/wellness app, or similar productWorking knowledge of Apple Search Ads, Meta, and TikTok; experience with Snapchat or Google is a plusSolid understanding of CAC, LTV, ROAS, payback period, and core subscription app economicsExperience supporting creative testing and collaborating with UGC creators, influencers, or creative strategistsAnalytical mindset with comfort working in dashboards, attribution tools, and performance dataExperience with mobile attribution platforms such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular, Branch, or similarClear communicator who can craft data-backed recommendations and tailor messaging to different audiencesBonus Points:Experience scaling an app in the Health & Fitness, wellness, nutrition, AI, consumer subscription, or mobile utility categoryExposure to influencer marketing, affiliate programs, creator whitelisting, Spark Ads, or organic social strategyFamiliarity with web-to-app funnels, subscription monetization, onboarding optimization, or paywall testingGrowing network of growth partners, creators, or marketing technology vendorsValues you’ll modelBe Kind and Care — build with empathy; assume positive intent; support teammates and members.Live Good Health — champion healthy habits and balance in how we work and what we ship.Be Data-Inspired — ground decisions in research and data; measure what matters.Champion Change — lean into ambiguity; iterate, learn, and improve continuously.Leave it Better than You Found It — raise quality, clarify systems, and document as you go.Make It Happen — bias to action; deliver impact with craft and accountability.The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $70,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
