What We Can Achieve Together:The Donor Engagement Manager (DEM) is a member of the Asia Pacific Regional Office Development team, reporting to the Asia Pacific Campaign Director. The DEM is responsible for creating unique travel and event experiences that connect donors and prospects to TNC’s mission, Asia Pacific priorities and One Future campaign, deepening their engagement with the organisation and inspiring new, continued or increased philanthropic support. The Manager is primarily responsible for leading a programming portfolio of highly bespoke custom trips and events geared towards our highest-level donors and prospects.The DEM will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the Asia Pacific Development team and our One Future campaign by end-to-end project managing several highly bespoke donor trips and events per year. The DEM will work closely with internal and external partners to comprehensively plan and execute all logistics and deliverables. They will anticipate challenges, evaluate & recommend alternatives, implement solutions, and proactively communicate to key stakeholders and APRO Dev leadership throughout to successfully deliver strategic and best-in-class engagement experiences. They may be asked to liaise with regional teams on specific trip activities as appropriate. The DEM will manage guidelines, follow policies and procedures, and analyse information to achieve results and improve workflow.The DEM must be an expert in trip planning, project management, and relationship building, as well as the systems and resources utilised by the team and apply that knowledge to developing documentation/communication, modifying processes, and participating in the enhancement of tools and approaches used by the team. They will provide advice, recommendations, and training related to colleagues across the Asia Pacific and the organization more broadly and keep up-to-date on market trends and best practices in order to improve services.We’re Looking for You:We’re looking for a creative engagement planner with a passion for creating custom and immersive experiences that have a transformational impact for donors. There is no sponsorship for relocation and support for immigration and visa.What You’ll Bring:Responsibilities and Scope
Engagement strategist (and a tactical powerhouse), leading the development, planning and execution of travel and/or event activity within the Asia Pacific region.
Managing multiple projects and diverse activities, including setting deadlines, analysing situations, evaluating alternatives, and ensuring accountability.
Working with APRO leadership, helping to develop and implement initiatives that support the team in achieving programme, department, and organisation wide goals and strategies, not solely implementing and managing.
Within the context of the specific projects/programmes under their management, they may be acting independently and in supervisor’s stead as needed. They may also be asked to liaise with other teams for specific trip or event activities as appropriate. Escalate issues, decisions, questions, conversations, etc. that have broader programme impact or involve more senior stakeholders to APRO Dev Leadership.
Financial responsibility include working within a budget, processing invoices and transfers, and negotiating and contracting with vendors.
An expert in the systems and resources utilised by the team and looked to for advice on trip & event planning.
Managing complex accounts or client relationships.
Manage and implement multiple projects, including managing budget, setting deadlines and ensuring accountability.
May manage or participate in complex negotiations.
Travel occasionally, work long and flexible hours as needed.
Does not supervise any staff but may take a leadership role in interdepartmental teams to coordinate the work of peers.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.
Experience planning and managing the execution of high touch travel projects and programmes.
Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
Experience navigating relationships with vendors and travel stakeholders.
