Growing together** As a member of the Complex Care team within the Community \& State Policy and Advocacy team, the Complex Care Associate Director will lead on issues related to long\-term services and supports (LTSS) and dual eligible special needs plans (D\-SNPs). Work will including identifying emerging trends and developing proactive positions and responsive materials that serve both state\-specific and federal advocacy needs. The individual will work closely with local health plans and national teams to maintain awareness of challenges and opportunities and share insights on opportunities to be innovative in service to individuals who are dually eligible and/or have LTSS needs. The successful candidate will have a solid mastery of developing and presenting advocacy materials that support market positioning to influence policy makers and senior leadership. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely \* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Serve as subject matter expert for Medicaid and Medicare policies related to dually eligible beneficiaries and LTSS \\ * Track D\-SNP and LTSS policy trends to develop and execute advocacy plans along with external thought leadership content in alignment with business needs * Drive external engagement strategy to accomplish advocacy agenda and influence state policy conversations in support of growth and sustainability * Develop internal and external educational programming to increase knowledge of D\-SNPs and the needs of individuals who are dually eligible and/or have LTSS * Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, including establishing shared understanding of business impacts of policies, opportunities and approaches through joint planning, and scenario planning tools for assigned markets * Prepare materials to support engagement with state agency staff in assigned markets * Support membership within advocacy organizations focused on D\-SNP and MLTSS * Engage in ad hoc research, policy, or thought leadership development **Functional Competencies** * Established experience engaging in policy research and analysis, especially in topics related to the dually eligible population, D\-SNPs , LTSS, and broader Medicaid system design * Background in health care policy/Medicaid/Medicare/aging services/disability/law * Knowledge of managed care in government programs * Solid foundational knowledge of LTSS, includin
