What you’ll do on a typical day:Establish realistic goals and implement action plans for achieving set objectives for new business implementationsGuide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures and guidelinesEnsure availability of financial, material and human resources required to complete a project successfullyEvaluate progress to detect limitations or faults to seek solutions to a more efficient processDevelop internal/external communication strategies useful in ensuring communication between various departments of the organization and clientsUse specialized tools and techniques to delegate and ensure even distribution of tasks to project team membersParticipate in educational programs to update job knowledge and expand personal networkMotivate team members to meet project goals by effectively carrying out their responsibilitiesOffer effective solutions to meet set targets and satisfy client requirementsManage every aspect of projects, including planning, communication, risk assessment and resources.Create a collaborative, enjoyable work environment that is conducive to effective creative thinkingTravel Requirements:Ability to travel up to 90% of the Must possess a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport to comply with federal travel regulations.Familiarity and ability to comply with TSA security procedures.Ability to travel domestically via road, rail and air as required for the role and pursuant to Company travel and expense requirements.What you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field or equivalent related work or military experience1 year of experience in operations, preferably in manufacturing or logisticsLean or Six Sigma experienceProject management experienceExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)It’d be great if you also have:Certification(s) such as PMP, Agile or Six SigmaExperience in transportation, supply chain, logistics, distribution or manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of professional services economicsExperience with change management processesAvailability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekendsAbility to travel up to 75% of the timeExperience in staff management and development, including solid track record of mentoring Project ManagersAbility to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
