US Tax Accountant

We're growing steadily and are looking for an experienced accounting professional who wants to become a key leader within the firm.What You'll DoClient Accounting Manage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts Perform monthly reconciliations and close processes Prepare and review financial statements Maintain accurate general ledger records Ensure high-quality client deliverables Tax Support Prepare and review business and individual tax returns Assist with tax planning and compliance Research accounting and tax issues as needed Support clients throughout tax season Team Leadership Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff Review work for accuracy and completeness Improve workflows, documentation, and quality control Help build and scale the accounting team over time Serve as the first point of escalation for accounting questions Client Service Communicate professionally with clients Resolve accounting issues proactively Manage deadlines across multiple engagements Deliver consistent, accurate work with minimal supervision RequirementsRequired Qualifications 5–7+ years of public accounting or client accounting experience Experience with Drake Tax, and TaxDome required Experience with QuickBooks Online is required Strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals Experience preparing business and/or individual tax returns Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and spoken English Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Qualifications CPA or CPA candidate preferred Experience working in a U.S. CPA firm Experience managing remote teams Who Will Thrive in This RoleWe're looking for someone who is: Highly reliable and dependable Proactive rather than reactive Comfortable taking ownership Calm under deadlines Detail-oriented without sacrificing efficiency Interested in growing into a long-term leadership position What Success Looks LikeWithin your first 6–12 months, you'll: Independently manage a portfolio of client accounts Deliver consistently accurate bookkeeping and tax work Require minimal oversight Begin supervising and developing junior accounting staff Help improve internal processes as the firm continues to grow Why Join Us?
