Virtual Medical Assistant (Spanish Speaking)

Responsibilities * Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments and collecting preliminary health information in both English and Spanish * Assist with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) management, ensuring accurate and up\-to\-date medical documentation and records * Support clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic phlebotomy procedures when applicable * Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers by answering inquiries, providing appointment reminders, and translating medical instructions in Spanish * Assist with medical billing, coding (including ICD coding), and insurance documentation to ensure proper reimbursement processes * Coordinate laboratory tests, imaging appointments (X\-ray), and follow\-up care in outpatient or inpatient settings with hospital experience or emergency medicine background preferred * Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA guidelines, ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times Skills * Fluent in Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively serve Spanish\-speaking patients * Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical assisting procedures * Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools * Familiarity with hospital medicine, urgent care, dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and medical\-surgical environments * Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) procedures and understand hospital experience or Level I/II trauma center protocols * Skilled in patient service delivery, including intake procedures, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation accuracy * Knowledge of ICD coding standards for accurate diagnosis recording and billing support Join us as a Virtual Medical Assistant (Spanish Speaking) to make a meaningful difference in patient lives while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment.
